Given the date of this weather update in Chicago, Illinois …

I’d say the weather conditions were accurate for many people outside Chicagoland as well!

Thanks to www.suntimes.com for the appropriate weather guidance.

I think the weather does often depend on my mood, sometimes I love the rain.

Also, let’s hope the Sun Times was right and that the “rough start” to New Year’s Day did turn into a “good evening” for everyone.

Here’s today’s forecast from the Suntimes.

    22°F
    Overcast
    Weather: NO END IN SIGHT

I am glad that there is no end in sight for weather. That actually is calming. Imagine if it said Weather: END IN SIGHT.

It sounds like the person responsible for writing the weather broadcasts at the Sun Times enjoys a double entendre or two.

Am I the only one enjoying the cold weather? 22 degrees today and I’m out in my boots, shorts, a t-shirt and zip up jacket.

And I really miss the colder and windier winters of Chicago!

I’m actually a big fan of cold weather too…but I don’t mind interspersing some 80 degree weather here and there as well. The contrast is excellent!

Here in San Francisco, people complain about the cold when it gets into the 40s. I personally prefer cold to hot, because you can put more clothes on if it’s cold, but can only take so many clothes off when it’s hot.

Your comment reminds me of a nature show I saw a couple of years ago on the BBC. It must have been a David Attenborough show or something.

Anyway, the BBC was somewhere in the North American side of the Arctic Circle, preparing to go beluga whale hunting in kayaks with a few members of the local indigenous tribe.

All the Brits and the locals were clad head-to-toe in the heaviest winter gear I have ever seen. The outdoor temperature was positively frightening and the sea looked menacing.

Then, out of one of the local houses pops this mammoth 300+ guy, a member of the local tribe, wearing nothing more than a sweatshirt and jeans. Everyone else was shuddering under layers of North Face everything and this guy wore only a sweatshirt. It was amazing!
