A petrol truck

When driving the other day, I pulled up behind a large petrol tanker. As you can see in the photo above, I kept back from the truck a bit. I know, I know … not far enough if anything really serious happened, but still.

As I waited for the traffic light to change to green, I noted the small fire extinguisher on the back of the truck. Too little, too late? Or more of a preventive measure, perhaps to scare away flame?

    I guess futilely doing something in an emergency is better than futilely doing nothing.

    If the truck was on fire though, I would not want to be the guy going up to grab the extinguisher.

    I think a smiley face would provide more peace when the tanker obliterates me…

    When the explosion occurs the extinguisher will be hurled about a quarter mile. The first person to find it has to rush with it to the fire and put it out.

    I think that’s how it works…
