Recent Chicken Scratchings
So, as the USA celebrates another birthday, I wanted to share with you some of the thoughts that went through my head when I saw the above sign:
(1) Really? That doesn’t seem likely. How about all those other countries who gained their own independence from the British Empire … just like the US did?
(2) Have they not heard of Google? Surely people should research these matters first …
(3) Do people in other countries put such silly ill-informed, quasi-patriotic signs on their businesses?
(4) Oh, say, can you see, by the dawn’s early light …

Strange to that we celebrate our nations birth by not getting it a present, but by eating too much, drinking too much and setting off explosives.
On the other hand that does sound like a pretty good afternoon
I suspect the USA may be the only country that the sign author knows the birthday of!
Is that a universalist church? Cause they don’t believe in facts.
