McDonalds Trash BinIn Chicago’s “Rock ‘n Roll McDonalds” all of the trash bins are uniquely labeled. After wandering through the restaurant I noticed that each bin had the word “Thanks” written on it in a different language (Portugese, French, Japanese, etc.)

However, one bin was marked with a symbol (or symbols) which I could not identify the language.

And that’s today’s challenge: Does anyone know what language or types of symbols these are?

Bonus challenge: Knowing that they are written on a trash bin, what would you have guessed these symbols meant, if they did not mean ‘thanks’?

Maybe it’s some sort of universal language for outer space aliens? Can anyone consult the Hitchhiker’s Guide to the Galaxy?

Its poorly written Arabic. Phonetically Shkrā.

    @ Jordan

Wow! I never would have guessed that. You are clearly right though.

Other readers, if you want to see what “thanks” looks like in Arabic, check here.

The way it is written at McDonalds makes it look like that Wingdings font.
