On a street in Pittsburgh I saw this sign posted on the side of a building.
I’m not sure how much weight I put behind a self-posted sign indicating that this was a “Safe Place”, when that very sign has been graffitied on. Thoughts?

Besides the graffiti, the image itself does not convey safety to me. The sign should be warning you off of predators.
i think that i saw this on an episdoe of ‘gangland’. the picture actually represents a safe-house for those in the group.
It looks like the poor person in front is being eaten. Not very safe!
Based on the above three comments, it makes me wonder how the sign design got past the approval stage … The concept is there, but the execution of the artwork falls down.
