Snob food

Walking through Mayfair last month, I wandered past a sandwich shop that caught my attention:

Napket, snob food

Snob food? Certainly pretentious enough. It was in Mayfair, so pretentiousness fits in. I didn’t have time to stop and try any of the food, so I can’t even report on whether or not Napket lives up to its claims.

Of course you didn’t have time because you are too good for the food… you were probably off doing other snobby things…

When I clicked on the link, the design made me think it was for a clothing line. And then I remembered that for true snobs, fashion is one of life’s essentials – even more so than food. So wouldn’t it have been clever if the sign had actually been in front of a clothing store and not a sandwich shop?

I know that song bro… it’s the black-eyed peas remake… “Where is the love y’all… I don’t know… Where’s the truth y’all… I don’t know…” Come to think of it, that is quite accurate… there is no love without truth.
