It turns out that we don’t have too many chickenmonkeydog fans over at Capital One.

A while ago they started a program to allow card users to “customize” their credit card by putting a picture of their own on the card.  Of course I seized the opportunity to get a credit card showing my chickenmonkeydog colors.  The design I submitted was this:

chickenmonkeydog credit card design

Much to my chagrin, Capital One REJECTED my design! They said:

We will not approve any images that contain the following:

Images of flags prominently displayed. (Our gallery contains flag related imagery – please review those images if you are interested in having a flag on your card)

Now, ever since we discovered the association with the Republic of Chad, we knew that chickenmonkeydog shared the colors with a national flag.  Does that really mean nobody can use the same colors in the same order for anything else?

    It’s a conspiracy, man, I am telling you … it’s a conspiracy!

I’m tearing up my Capital One credit card in protest!

Not really…but I wanted to show my support somehow.

How ’bout I just call the customer service number and hang up when someone finally connects to my call?

That’s the spirit. Thanks for the support. Give ‘em what for!
