Liquid Luggage

Not sure who might think it is a good idea to put a full pint of beer and several other open containers of booze into their briefcase. I just hope my bags aren’t piled underneath this one when the plane hits turbulence.

See-through bag containing a pint of ale, glass of wine, a snifter of brandy and a pack of cigarettes

This picture was taken from a sign illustrating the regulations regarding bringing alcohol into the UK from Ireland.

Recommendation: If you do hire someone to pack for you, don’t hire the person who packed this.

I had no idea that we were only allowed to bring these things into the UK in a transparent bag with a handle on top. I tell you this Nanny State is going too far!

Who ever packed that must sure know how to have a fun time, regardless of where they are traveling to.

Haha! Do you think the owner used a see-through bag so that they wouldn’t have to run it through the X-ray machine and risk the beverages tipping?

Great point! Definitely someone who is prepared in case of flight delays. Makes me think about our post on the emergency ration of scotch.

Can I just add that I like real ales? Mmmm. A good bitter is well worth smuggling across borders.

I think so. That explains the handle on top. One has to hold them the ‘right side up’ and no other way. ;-)
