(2) Out of the entire world’s male population from the ages 18 – 35, a certain unknown percentage of men will have “long hair” on their heads, according to our definition.

Given (1) and (2), would you estimate that the percentage of male professional soccer players in the world with “long hair” on their heads is greater than the overall percentage of men (age 18 – 35) with “long hair” on their heads?

At a small restaurant in Bangalore I noticed this little blurb, and one line in particular struck me as odd.

Located at Rayal Comforts on 5th floor, Attic is a cool place to eat, drink and to freak out.

Really? To freak out? Is that what you want people to associate with your restaurant? Is that what you want people to DO at your restaurant? Really!?

Just around midday yesterday, I was driving through the Lincoln Tunnel, heading into New York City. I was underground and under water, literally. I was driving under the Hudson River. My GPS device had long since given up its hunt for a satellite signal. So you can imagine my surprise when my cell (mobile) phone rang.

Whose telephone number is “1″?!? God? The President of the United States, calling from the White House?

As I was driving, my passenger answered the call — about which I was more than a bit jealous. The caller didn’t leave a name, but promised to send an email. Unfortunately, none of the emails I received yesterday indicated anything about calling me earlier in the day.

I remain in the dark as to who has such a cool phone number.
