An open environmental approach

Sam's Club's environmental approachIn Sam’s Club a few months ago, I suddenly realized I was very thirsty. I bought a refreshing, ice-filled cup of soda. While taking a breather from my thirst-quenching activities, I took a moment to review the cup.

Sam's Club's environmental approach

Upon reading the back of the cup, I was impressed that Sam’s Club laid out its environmental approach, but welcomed ideas for improving it. That seems an honest approach, defending the company’s choice of cups, but admitting that there is always room for improvement.

I recently saw a disabled parking mark painted on a parking spot.

Wheel chair with spokes

So, do the spokes provide additional strength and support that most other wheelchair signs fail to offer?

Virtual bag throw

I wonder if your state of drunkenness affects your virtual bag throwing — does BAC alter your thumb’s ability to flick a trackball? Maybe it’s just me, but I think the enjoyment of bags is the celebration of outdoor weather and human interaction and less about tossing the bag through the hole. Would a virtual bags game bring you the same joy?

We received an email from a reader in Wisconsin who saw the picture below in her doctor’s office.

Inspiring modern art

In sending through the picture, our reader writes: They have this CMD painting in the lobby! Go figure that such a place knows the power of CMD!!!!

Door To Nowhere

Every now and then one finds a “door to nowhere.”

Door to nowhere

Though seemingly deliberately placed, they don’t seem to lead to anywhere. Or do they?

Door to nowhere

I, for one, like to think they lead into another dimension, or cause a sub-atomic change in people passing through, or that they are associated with some other undetectable but nevertheless real change in all who pass through.

Thanks to a reader from Singapore for capturing these shots and sending them in to be shared with the global CMD community! Seen anything quirky lately? Email chickenmonkeydog [at] gmail [dot] com.
