How many people do you think walked in thinking the store was something else before the shop keeper added the explanation the Bunches is indeed (a flower shop) to the sign?

Walking through Mayfair last month, I wandered past a sandwich shop that caught my attention:

Snob food? Certainly pretentious enough. It was in Mayfair, so pretentiousness fits in. I didn’t have time to stop and try any of the food, so I can’t even report on whether or not Napket lives up to its claims.
Men are profound

Men have a reputation for being shallow, insensitive and far too focussed on the trivial matters in life. Yet there are a group of men – new men really, men of the 21st century – who are out to show the world that men are, in fact, as profound, thoughtful as women.
Somewhere in west London this group of men has even opened up a news agent to spread their message.

Before there was internet, or computers, or chickenmonkeydog, there was apparently a sect of people over in Chiang Mai, Thailand, who were waiting for it all to arrive. Ancient chickenmonkeydog fans, who put their story into the carvings on the side of a Buddhist temple.

Greetings Chickenmonkeydogians,
Today, 17 June 2009, marks the one year anniversary of our daily posts. Sure, the blog celebrated its first birthday in January of this year, but it was on this day in 2008 that the editors decided to kick chickenmonkeydog up a notch and publish every Monday through Friday, come rain or shine or web server outage.
We certainly hope that you’ve enjoyed our posts and we thank you for submitting content for our guest posts. We are very grateful for your many comments (1,382 to date) and for your regular readership. You’ve made a fun, creative project very rewarding for us.
As we look back over the year, we wonder which was your personal favourite post? Please do let us know via the comments.
And as we march ahead into our second year of daily posts, what would you like to see us add? What could we do differently or better?
