Picked up a hat this week and saw this label inside. I don’t think it needs much additional commentary.

Losing watches
Posted 8 Feb 2008
Maybe it’s just me, but ever since I was old enough to have a reason to wear a watch, I have never been able to keep a nice watch. I have lost watches. I have sent watches through the wash. I misplaced one watch in a drinking session, only to see it on my friend’s wrist several weeks later. (Yes, that’s a story for another day.) My wife once bought me a very expensive, very nice watch that I really liked. Lost that too. Not sure how.
Am I the only one who loses watches?
Cheers!

One of my on-going pursuits is to learn how to say the word for “cheers” or “sláinte” in as many different languages as possible. So far, I can only consistently remember how to say it in about eight languages, but I was excited today when I found a long list of how to say cheers in different countries. Unfortunately there is no indication of how to pronounce the words.
Once I saw that first list, I searched for similar lists, however that was the most comprehensive I found. This post is a plea for help in my search. Does anyone know a good site where you can find the pronunciation of the word for “cheers” in different languages? It is as much for my own fun as anything else, but it is a good way to meet random strangers as you traverse the globe – - just by raising a toast in a common language!
